Autologic Diagnostics emailed all customers in Australia and New Zealand last week, telling of the agreement between Autologic and Volvo.
This is something we down under have missed out on in the past but now have the same coverage as the US, UK and EU workshops on the Autologic tool on this brand.
If you repair Volvo cars or not, read the article as it’s significant in the fact that the agreement is direct with Volvo and allows Autologic to license software in countries that still have restrictions in accessing data on many European vehicle brands.
With the work of the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association on the Choice of Repairer campaign and others raising awareness of the data and information restrictions to government parties, Australia is close to achieving the open data sharing goal that the US, UK and EU enjoy.
